Kingdom Business Foundation (KBF) is a non-profit, private led organization in Côte d'Ivoire created and funded by concerned Christians led by Pastor James E. Okon (jp) in June 2009, because they believe that the viable youths of Côte d'Ivoire are able to directly confront the high rate of poverty, unemployment and foreign dependence in the land.
Pastor James E. Okon (JP), Founder and 4th Missionary Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church in Côte d'Ivoire, birthed the KBF Dream. Thereafter, he shared this dream with a group of concerned individuals that they may support and give life to the vision. They included: Pastor Keremey K. Roger (Ivoirian), Mr. Lifeman Gad O. (Nigerian), Elder Daniel Samuel O. (Nigerian), Mr. Leonce Brito V. (Ivoirian), Elder Avy Etienne (Ivoirian), Elder Jean Marc Dodo (Ivoirian), and Elder Julius Olatunji (Nigerian).
kbf started as Kingdom Business Fellowship, launching its first edition of programmes in June 2009 where a National Wealth Seminar and exhibition was held to follow an Entrepreneurial Workshop which was executed in September same year. This edition gave birth to the need for a more organized outfit; an NGO to help KBF attain its goals, as the grassroots need for our services surpasses our initial assumptions. Therefore more like-minded persons where invited to constitute the NGO’s Executive Assembly as it became Kingdom Business Foundation. They are Dcns. Elizabeth E. Okon (Nigerian), Ms. Ade-Ojo Titilayo (Nigerian) and Elisee (Ivorian).
The drive behind KBF stemmed from a strong concern for financial independence, unemployment and poverty reduction in the land. KBF is committed to assisting aspiring individuals in moving the nation from the dependence mentality to an indigenously relevant one where youths are directly or otherwise engaged in influencing the wealth of the nation positively.
KBF is committed to assisting, motivating, and encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs as well as training, modeling, sponsoring and growth-monitoring of emerging entrepreneurs with skills, tools, networks and financing required for this task.
KBF's mission is to encouraging Wealth Creation and Self Reliant by promoting Entrepreneurial Development among Ivoirian youths. The vision behind this is to encourage the establishment of over 250 businesses by 2012 and 1500 by 2025. The idea is that, these businesses will in turn lead to the creation of employment for at least 10000 Ivoirians by 2025.
kbf is willing to partner with global corporations, institutions and organizations in the realization of the dreams. We have a focused team and a visionary board of directors that is dedicating time, energy and resources towards the actualization of KBF’s dream. The response we got from the public on our road tour has further poised us towards the KBF dream thus far.
